Quantity Surveying and Cost Management

Once we understand your needs and project requirements, we can create a practical plan that caters for every stage of design, construction and project delivery.

You may have a detailed business case and brief for a project or prefer to engage us to develop a full brief.

We will work with you to create the optimum procurement strategy, there to balance risk, design, quality, budget and benefits.

Inception and Feasibility

We liaise with you to determine procurement routes and options as well as prepare initial budgets.

Cost Planning, Design Development and Control

We will prepare a detailed Cost Plan and help you reach decisions about design, size, shape, form of construction and choice of materials – issues that will have a significant impact on outturn costs.

We carry out regular cost checks, keeping you informed and providing you with options to reduce expenditure where necessary.

Towards the end of the pre-contract stage, we will produce an estimate based on final tender drawings and run final checks before your project is put out to tender.


We can advise on prospective tenderers and review their suitability for your project.

Our experienced team will collate and manage the tender process, issuing clarification or amendments as required.

Returned tenders will be reviewed and checked and where appropriate clarified before they are forwarded to you with our recommendations.

Contract Documentation

Once the award is made, we will prepare and collate Contract Documentation and incorporate agreed changes.

Standard or bespoke Forms of Contract will be completed and we will arrange for contracts to be signed.

Post-Contract Services

Through our regular site visits and meetings, we will check contractors’ monthly interim valuations and issue recommendations for payment in accordance with the conditions of the contract.

We rigorously manage the cost of variation or changes instructed during the project and prepare regular Cash Flow Forecasts and Financial Reports to keep you informed of progress.

Within the timescales required by the contract and in consultation with other consultants and contractors, we will prepare and agree the Final Account.
